Three Can’t-Miss Summer Food & Wine Pairings

Three Can’t-Miss Summer Food & Wine Pairings
August 4, 2020 Ty Caton

Summer is a time for gathering, grilling, and good company. Though it may look slightly different this year, for us, it has been a time of reflection, appreciation, and reconnecting with the people that mean the most. There’s no better way to do that than with food and Ty Caton wine. Here are three must-try summer pairings that you can’t miss this year!

Paella de Marisco paired with Ty Caton Rose of Syrah Summer evenings are best celebrated with our 2020 Rosé of Syrah
and Paella de Marisco. Paella has an innate ability to bring people
together. The crisp acidity and freshness of our Rosé pairs expertly
with the buttery seafood and general richness of the dish. We
recommend following Delish’s Easy Paella Recipe.
Grilled Veggies paired with Grenache Blanc Late summer is a great time to gather fresh vegetables and herbs
from local vendors at your Farmers Market. Zucchini, yellow
squash, onions, and corn can easily be paired with our full-bodied
2019 Grenache Blanc for lighter dinner fare or as an
accompaniment to richer dishes like this chicken satay recipe
by Damn Delicious.
Beer Can Chicken paired with Cabernet Sauvignon Grilling and Cabernet Sauvignon have gone together since we
can remember, but rather than steak, ribs, or burgers (which are
all classic options), we recommend pairing our 2017 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with beer can chicken! Pick up a whole
chicken at the market, grab a can of beer (any will do), place
chicken on top of the open beer, season the outside of the bird
with your favorite herbs, and place onto the barbecue. You may
need to grab a second bottle of Cab while you wait for the chicken
to finish cooking!

We hope that these food and wine pairings complement your smaller summer gatherings this year. Tag us on Facebook or Instagram to let us know what you think and to share with us your own can’t miss summer pairings.
