Located on the western slopes of the Mayacama Mountains, the Caton Vineyard is a rugged setting ideally situated to grow some of the premier grapes in Sonoma Valley. The vineyard is blessed with an ideal climate with warm sunshine during the day and cool breezes in the evening. The 40 acre vineyard is spread out over 107 acres of steeply contoured hillsides that are as unique as the wines that come from it. The vineyard is divided into 21 blocks, each defined by different sun exposure, soil type, incline, and altitude that varies over 300 feet. Each block is planted with the grape variety that is best suited to the specific conditions. The blocks are hand harvested and vintned individually to retain the distinct character of the vineyard and create expressive wines with distinct terroir.

The Caton Vineyard is certified sustainable and we are committed to our stewardship of the land. It is our firm belief that by respecting the land and not intervening more than necessary in the growing process, the grapes become a distinctive expression of the vineyard.
